The following are reproductions of only what was written on the blackboard during the first part of a calculus lecture entitled "Applications of Intgration". The example deals with radioactive decay; that is, "amt. rad. stuff" = "amount of radioactive stuff". The lecturer also emphasized the importance of estimating the answer before calculating it.

Sketch a plan of a lecture using these figures; what would you say as you wrote these figures up? would you change any of the figures & why? Also, include an introduction for the lecture as well as a brief conclusion. We will discuss these in class on tuesday; don't worry, you won't be videotaped yet. Also, don't worry if your calculus is rusty, at this point we'll put more emphasis on presentation than content.
