I work at Umass Boston and I have several interests:

1. I teach General Biology (Bio111 & Bio112)
2. I have a research program that focuses on Biology Education.
3. A List of Downloadable Lab Publications.
4. I have written a textbook of practice problems for Introductory Biology called A Problems Approach to Introductory Biology.
5. I have developed many projects for teaching biology:
• Software for teaching Biology.
• Metabolic Pathways: a simulation of enzyme kinetics and metabolic pathways.
• Animations for Genetics, Biochem, Cell Bio, Molecular Biology.
• Animations for Plant and Animal Diversity, Neurobiology, Ecology.
• Lecture Demonstration of protein folding.
6. I have developed a presentation on The Limits of Inquiry.
7. I like to think about Science Puzzles.

9. I used to work at MIT. While there,
• I developed a curriculum for recitation sections. Sample problem, solution, and TA notes
• I developed a Crash Course for recitation section Teaching Assistants.
• I helped teach Introductory Biology. The Intro Bio home page with problems & solutions.
